This privacy notice describes how Shumaker PDT, Inc., 240 Harrisburg Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603 collects, uses and shares information about our clients and employees. 

Client Information – We collect contact information you submit such as name, address, phone numbers and email addresses. We use your personal data to better serve you in corresponding with you, preparing quotes for jobs and fulfilling our commitment of service to you. We do not share this information with any other entities, such as vendors, unless authorized by you in writing (email may be used). We do not sell your information, and we never will. Your personal information is maintained in our system indefinitely. 

When you pay through our website, you enter your credit card information which is captured by and secured by our credit card processor. When you pay by phone, Shumaker completes a form that includes your credit card information and submits it to our credit card processor. The form is retained for up to three months in a locked cabinet in a locked room, and is thereafter shredded. You may contact Shumaker at any time to obtain information about the credit card processor. 

Employee Information – We collect contact information you submit such as name, address, phone numbers and email addresses. We also collect background information you submit or we seek either as part of the hiring process or once you are hired. Information collected at different points of the hiring process includes education and employment history, social security number, bank account information (should you choose direct deposit), driver’s license number, driving record, medical/health information, and other such information. We use this information to make hiring decisions and to fulfill our obligations as an employer. 

Information we collect during the hiring process is shared among Shumaker staff involved in hiring. Information we collect once hired is only accessible by the accounting personnel and the Leadership Team. Some of your information is shared with our payroll processor only to the extent it is required to process payroll and with our insurance providers only to the extent required to provide insurance. Besides the payroll processor and insurance companies, your personal information is not shared with anyone else. 

Your personal information is maintained in the accounting department in a locked cabinet and the office door is locked when not in use. It is kept for at least seven years after termination, for any reason, after which it is shredded.
